We are in the process of creating a recipe database and look forward to launching it so that we can share Clean Eating Recipes with you. In the meantime, have you looked at any of the cookbooks we recommend that are in our shop?
Before I discovered Clean Eating I rarely did more than warm pre-cooked food that was full of chemicals. If I did cook I did not use recipes. I only cooked from memories of days in the kitchen with my grandmother. NOT my mom, sorry mom. My mom was a single parent so dinners were out of a box or cooked on the stove top at a very high temperature.
My newest love is getting recipes from old cook books. The whole idea of Eating Clean is to get back to the basics, Eating Healthy and Natural, the way our grandparents ate. I change the recipes to fit my guidelines of Clean Eating.
Since I do not eat sugar or wheat products I substitute refined sugar with Alternative Natural Sugar and for wheat I use Alternative Flour Wheat allergy or not there are alternative flours that will support optimal health.
In these old recipes they also call for lard, I substitute with Healthy Oils.
I may not have learned how to cook from my mother, but she is responsible for leading the way to me discovering Optimal Health. It is because of her diagnose of diabetes and my fear of getting it that together we got busy learning what to eat and how to cook it!
The Book- The 10 Things You Need to Eat is a great source for learning essential foods to eat and incorporate into your daily and weekly meal plans. I highly recommend it.
